Save the Date!

Save the date of September 15! That is when the Anton Art Center will have its annual ArtParty. This is a well anticipated event here in Mount Clemens...with entertainment, food and drinks, silent auction, and raffle.
It is also a chance for those attending to glam it up, so this week we will look at some of our very special jewelry artists...Maria Silamianos, Tammy Jurkins, Elaine Kolodziej, Tammy Graham, and Judith Levitt.

Maria Silamianos creates jewelry that ranges subtle to down right glamorous. Here is one of her classic pearl sets.

Tammy Jurkins's jewelry has an extra dash of flash and sparkle.

Elaine Kolodziej puts together jewelry with a classic, yet bold look.

More Critters!

We have even more critters at The Gift Shop!
Birds, fish, and a dragonfly round-out the menagerie this week. Our featured artists are: Debbie Lee, Catherine Firmbach, Winnie Chrzanowski, Helena Kuttner-Giasson, and Kelly Wojdyla-Gray.

Debbie Lee is quite the traveler, and her camera is always at the ready. Here is a great photo of an emu she took in Australia.

Catherine Firmbach is also an accomplished photographer. Pictured is one of her hummingbird portraits.

Winnie Chrzanowski is always using innovative techniques to enhance her photographs. The shimmer-effect on this dragonfly photo is just stunning, and really needs to be seen in person to be appreciated.

Helena Kuttner-Giasson has brought us many beautiful paintings. She also has turned some of her original work int cards, here are two examples of her lovely birds.

New Artists at The Gift Shop

The word is getting out that The Gift Shop is a great place for artists to showcase and sell their creations. We now have two new artists: Jeanne Burris-Johnson, and Pete Snodgrass.

Jeanne Burris-Johnson combines photography and acrylics to create her unique cards.

Jeanne has also brought us the original art piece that the above card was copied from. It is a large
(30"x 40") painting that is very striking!

Pete Snodgrass has brought us his watercolor cards and prints. Here are just three of his hand-painted cards.

Pete also has created very nice wood desk-sets that each include a set of pens, pen holders, and a clock.
