"Artist of the Month" for July

The Gift Shop "Artist of the Month" for July is Bette Prudden.



Bette's paintings are all over the USA, plus a few in Europe. She has won many prizes in national, regional, and local art shows and is a member of the Portrait Society of America, the Great Lakes Pastel Society, the Michigan Watercolor Society, and the Grosse Pointe Artists Association,The Detroit Society of Women Painters and Sculptors.
The Bette Prudden Art Studio in the City of Grosse Pointe is an exciting place to learn portrait painting, landscape, or still life in oil, watercolor or pastel.

Gift Shop "Artist of the Month"

The Gift Shop "Artist of the Month" for June is Sharon Parker.

Sharon has been a popular clay artist in The Gift Shop and in Holiday Markets for years. Many of her pieces have Michigan or garden themes, and her signature colors of turquoise and copper combine to create beautiful work.

In response to the COVID-19 Pandemic and resulting closure of physical spaces where artists may show their work, the Anton Art Center launched a global call for artists to submit their work for a juried international online exhibit. A total of 1,524 entries were received from 518 artists (youth, teen and adults) across the globe, representing 30 U.S. states and 44 countries.

The 2nd Annual SUPER SatARTday is going virtual! Join us online to celebrate art and artists in Macomb County and beyond!
Just like last year, this all ages event will have something for everyone. The day will be packed with live-stream demos and performances, virtual art tours, and opportunities to join our instructors in classes to make art at home, We can't wait to celebrate the arts with you and your family. Supply kits will be made available for participants.

The Gift Shop will soon be opening an online store, offering shipping and curbside pick-up! Stay tuned for details.
