All About Michigan

The "Made in Michigan" Show is this weekend, May 10 &11 in Downtown Mt. Clemens. Come in to Anton Art Center on Saturday to check out our Michigan themed art in the Art Market, see the current exhibits, and take part in our free art projects. 

When you are at the Fair, visit our information table right in front of Anton Art Center, and say "Hi". Our pottery students will be selling their ceramic pieces as a fundraiser for a new slab-roller for the clay classes.

The 10th Congressional District of Michigan with community partners Anton Art Center and the Mount Clemens Public Library hosts the exhibition of the artwork submissions by students in grades 9 through 12 enrolled in private, public, parochial, or homeschool. Artworks are on display April 21 through May 8, 2025, at the Mount Clemens Public Library. The Closing Reception and Awards Announcement is on Thursday, May 8th from 6-7pm at the Mount Clemens Public Library. The Library is open Mondays through Thursdays 10 am to 8 pm, Fridays 10 am to 5 pm, Saturdays 10 am to 2 pm, Sundays Closed. This event is free and open to the public.

Artist/Month May

 The Art Market's "Artist of the Month" for May is jewelry artist Barb Quenneville.

Barb started her jewelry business after taking a class in 1983. Eventually she branched out to do a variety of shows and took a class in stringing. Her work includes pearls, gemstones, Millefiore Italian glass, and embellished Titanium designs. She uses no nickel in her ear wires or posts, so they are all hypoallergenic.
