Pottery at The Gift Shop
Pottery has always been a big part of the art here at The Gift Shop.
This week we will look at the pottery from Robert Gilchrist, Deanna Clyne, Julie Matuzak, and Rosita Gendernalik.
Robert Gilchrist has been a proficient potter for many years. His work can be functional, innovative, and organic. His choice of glazes is especially interesting.
Deanna Clyne is a potter and a pottery teacher here at Anton Art Center. Her classes are very popular, and her own pottery is functional and pleasing.
Julie Matuzak is very imaginative in her choices of form, design, and glaze.
Rosita Gendernalic has perfected a hand building technique called "petal-built". The process uses individual pieces of clay put together piece by piece to form the vessel. The final effect is stunning.
