Still more new artists at The Gift Shop

We are not finished meeting the artists who have joined The Gift Shop from our successful 2016 Christmas Market.
Today let's look at the works of Julie Matuzak, Jan Filarski, and Carol Johnson.

Julie Matuzak (MAT) works in clay. Her patterns and techniques are very interesting.
Here are two examples of her clay work:

Jan Filarski (FIL) is a well-known artist, now she has joined The Gift Shop. Jan has brought us necklaces and pins made using tiny canvasses. Every one is a piece of wearable art. Here are two each of her colorful necklaces and pins:

Carol Johnson (JOHN) is also a jewelry artist. She uses gemstones, crystals, and wire wrap to create her pieces. Shown are several of her organic, very pretty pieces:

Thinking Spring!

Even in the depth of Winter we are thinking Spring! We are planning now for a beautiful summer here at Anton Art Center, but we are going to need some help.

We need a dedicated volunteer, or volunteers to maintain our gardens from about mid May through frost. The volunteer(s) would be responsible for watering, weeding, and care of the gardens. The main garden is pictured below. It contains existing perennials, and shrubs. Other garden spaces around the Art Center contain shrubs / trees, and would only need weeding. Outside water is available, but all other tools would be the volunteer(s)' own.

It doesn't look like much now, but with some TLC, it will be brimming with color!

If you are interested, or have questions, email at: giftshop@theartcenter.org . Please put "Gardens" in the subject line.
