Art Market "Artist of the Month" for April

Our Art Market "Artist of the Month" for April is painter Susan Eatmon.

Susan is a graphic designer who always loved painting. She mostly painted murals over the years while working. She finally made the joyous leap to full time professional artist in 2020 while taking the “Milan Art Institute Mastery Program”.

Susan loves expressing herself through paintings that evoke a connection to nature, history, music and one another, for we are all connected in some way.

She enjoys creating in her studio with a gorgeous view of trees, a creek with a bridge, and animals scurrying around. She switches over to the right side of her brain while listening to a wide variety of music as she paints and time and space disappear.

"Vinyl Craze" - 12"x 12" oil & mixed media on canvas by Susan Eatmon ($150)

"Electric Violin" - 6"x 6" oil & mixed media on canvas by Susan Eatmon ($55)

Come see Susan's work, and so much more here at The Art Market.

Art Market "Artist of the Month" January & February

Our "Artist of the Month" through February is jewelry maker Elaine Kolodziej.

"I am inspired by color, unusual shapes and faceted stones in both gemstone and crystal. I have earned Finalist status in four International beading contests in 2004, 2008, 2010 and 2021.

I studied painting and drawing for several years with my mentor Bennie White, Jr., culminating in being awarded a first place Blue Ribbon at the Michigan State Fair for one of my oil paintings.

Playing with color in every medium is fun and inspiring. Jewelry-making provides me with an additional outlet for my creativity. Working with nature's gifts keeps my outlook optimistic--who could help but smile at all the wonderful colors and textures that are part of the world we live in?"

Just in time for Valentine's Day! Elaine's Crystal Charm Heart necklaces, adjustable ($49 each)

Visit in person: Tuesday thru Saturday 10am to 5pm each day.

Face masks are not required, but recommended for all visitors.
