"Artist of the Month" for May

The Art Market "Artist of the Month" for May is ceramic artist Debbie LaPratt. 

"My architectural pottery incorporates stoneware tiles that are hand formed, then pressed, and then patterned. I like to stress my clay, then form it into a piece that looks as if it could be found from the architectural ruins of the ancient and mysterious civilizations. Tiles are then textured, the edges are patterned and waved, as the art tile is completed I intentionally leave the work of art rough."
