Summer is Here!

Summer has officially started! Here at The Gift Shop we welcome the season with art that celebrates Summer's special events and memories. This week we will look at the "Summer Art" of  Winnie Chrzanowski, Marianna Defer-Pfeifer, Catherine Firmbach, and Theresa Lowe.

Winnie Chrzanowski (CHRZ) is a photographer adept at many different photo techniques.

Marianna Defer-Pfeifer (DEF) is a skilled painter and teacher. Below is her lovely Summer painting entitled "Lake Michigan".




Catherine Firmbach (FIR) is also a photographer. Her practiced "eye" has captured some beautiful Summer memories in prints and greeting cards. Here are just three of her available greeting cards.





Theresa Lowe makes the most beautiful wind chimes from fused glass, beads, and natural wood. Their sweet sound is so delightful.

A Bicentennial Exhibition  June 16 - July 20, 2018. This exhibition celebrating 200 years of art and design in Macomb County and Mount Clemens, featuring a variety of historic items on display, with a special exhibit by the Italian American Cultural Society. More gifts for Father's Day

Here at The Gift Shop we have many more Father's Day gifts for your approval!
Today we will look at the work of Tenchi Wayner, Al Sadaj, Deborah Benedic, Abigail Davidson, and Lyn Rushing.

Tenchi Wayner (WAY) recycles vintage and everyday items into works of art. Some of her works could be especially appealing as Father's Day gifts.

Father's Day Gifts

Father's Day is coming. The men in our lives can be hard to shop for, but here at The Gift Shop, we have plenty of  unique gift-giving choices. This week we will highlight the work of Ron Cracchiolo,
Kelly Wojdyla-Gray, the ceramic team of Rick Pruckler & Tonya Lutz, and Julie Langensiepen.

Ron Cracchiolo (CRAC) creates fishing lures, and realistic mounted dragonflies.






Kelly Wojdyla-Gray (WOJ) has brought us some brilliant fish portraits.




Rick Pruckler and Tonya Lutz (PRU) make lovely ceramic tiles, but we also have their "gear boxes" and a hanging gear that could be just right as gifts.




Julie Langensiepen (LAN) is a fiber artist. We have her "Animal Art Dolls" here at The Gift Shop. Here are a two of her "mounted beasts".
