Classic Expressions

Our Wall-Art choices here at The Gift Shop are so varied...color palette, subject, medium, size, and style of expression. Today we will look at the classic paintings from Gloria Geoddeke, Linda Jones, and Marianna Defer-Pfeifer.

Gloria Goeddeke (GOE) has been a favorite artist at Anton Art Center for decades. Though she has since passed away; her beautiful, original artwork is still available here at The Gift Shop due to the dedication of her daughter.

We also carry Gloria's greeting cards.

Linda Jones (JON) is one of our newer artists. Her matted original artwork has been painted using acrylics.

Marianna Defer-Pfeifer (DEF) is a talented painter, and teacher. Her original artwork is classic.

Artistic Animals

We love our animals...from our pets to wildlife they enrich our lives. Animals are a very popular theme for the artists here at The Gift Shop, too. You can choose from their varied styles and mediums to add animals to your decor, make a fashion statement, or send a special greeting.
This week we will look at the "Artistic Animals" created by Anastasia Chamiok, Abigail Davidson, and the team of Rick Pruckler and Tonya Lutz.

Anastasia Chamiok (CHAM) works in acrylics, colored pencil, and pastels. Here is a lovely original matted 15" x 18" portrait of a horse she has created with colored pencil.

Abigail Davidson (DAVI) is a print-maker, illustrator, and painter. Her original prints are adorable. She also has brought us T-shirts, purses, and greeting cards...with the same clever prints.

Rick Pruckler and Tonya Lutz (PRU) are tile-makers. Their designs are rich in deep detail. Their animal tiles are beautiful, and small enough to tuck into any wall space.

Show Your Colors!

Here at The Gift Shop we offer ways for you to "Show Your Colors"...whether it is to celebrate our flag, a college affiliation, or military service. This week we will look at the work of Diane Bowman, Kimberly Kirkpatrick, and Jan Gunning.

Diane Bowman (BOW) is known as the "Tall Ships Lady". Her watercolor/pen and ink portraits of famous and familiar watercraft are stunning. Her prints shown sport the "Red, White, and Blue".

Kimberly Kirkpatrick (KIRK) fashions ceramic bowls and mugs with military and college logos on them.

No mention of "Red, White, and Blue" would be complete without showcasing the very fun and patriotic wreath created by Jan Gunning (GUN). It even has a jaunty Uncle Sam right on top!
