The Anton Art Center is proud to present "Artistic Expressions"  July 24 - August 31. This exhibition consists of 44 selected artworks by 21 artists from the Shelby Township Fine Arts Society  (STFAS).  Their inaugural gallery exhibition is juried by Amy Foster.

The Shelby Township Fine Arts Society was founded in 2001. The purpose of the society is to promote, educate and encourage fine art through monthly meetings , workshops, exhibits and demonstrations. 

This is the last day to see this impressive exhibit. Don't miss it!


Dreamscape  August 28 - October 13, 2021. An exhibition of artwork by artists Luzhen Qiu and Cathy Jacobs. Artworks will be on display on the First Floor in the Main Galleries, as well as virtually on on website.  Virtual Artist Talk can be seen on the Anton Art Center Facebook page and is open to all. Dreamscape will be on display in-person and virtually through October 13, 2021.

This Week at Anton Art Center:


August 24 - 27... Kids' Summer Art Camp is back with a 4 day program that will introduce young artists to a wide variety of art projects, mediums, tools and techniques as well as STEAM projects, art-based games and experiments and old school camp craft projects. We will have projects for kids and teens, ages 6 -10 & 11 -16 (please note student ages on registration.) The program will run Tuesday, August 24 - Friday, August 27 from 10:30 am - 3:30 pm and will include lunch. the cost is $50 per child. Register online at:

This will be an outdoor camp, weather permitting, with visits to the galleries and classrooms. Masks are required indoors. Thank you to our sponsor, 5/3 Bank!

"Here Comes the Sun!"  June 26 - August 17. Visit us in person or virtually online for a juried exhibition of artwork by members of the Detroit Society of Women Painters and Sculptors. Juried by Richard B. Reeves.

The Detroit Society of Women Painters and Sculptors is one of the oldest self-sustaining women's art organizations in the United States, having been founded by Lillian Burk Meeser on February 23, 1903. Its mission since inception has been to quicken interest in art movements of the day, to stimulate high achievement, active work, and mutual helpfulness among members, and to provide encouragement and support for art students.
