Show Your Colors!

Here at The Gift Shop we offer ways for you to "Show Your Colors"...whether it is to celebrate our flag, a college affiliation, or military service. This week we will look at the work of Diane Bowman, Kimberly Kirkpatrick, and Jan Gunning.

Diane Bowman (BOW) is known as the "Tall Ships Lady". Her watercolor/pen and ink portraits of famous and familiar watercraft are stunning. Her prints shown sport the "Red, White, and Blue".

Kimberly Kirkpatrick (KIRK) fashions ceramic bowls and mugs with military and college logos on them.

No mention of "Red, White, and Blue" would be complete without showcasing the very fun and patriotic wreath created by Jan Gunning (GUN). It even has a jaunty Uncle Sam right on top!

(Remember, the letters in parentheses after each artist's name show their code. When you see that code on work in The Gift Shop, you will know who created it.)

Members' Exhibition 2017  Sept. 5 -Oct. 13, 2017. Featuring the artwork of new and existing Anton Art Center members. When you see the show, be sure to vote for your favorite piece through the "People's Choice Award".

Artists' Choice Group Show Sept. 9 - Oct. 12, 2017. This show features selected works from members of the Lakeside Palette Club of St. Clair Shores (LPC), the Mount Clemens Art Association (MCAA), and the Warren Tri-County Fine Arts Association, Inc. (WTCFA). Juried by Robert Fionda.
