Gift Shop "Artist of the Month" for July

The "Artist of the Month" for July is George Bochnig.

George Bochnig (BOCH) is a skilled glass blower. His pieces are functional, beautiful, colorful, and delicate.

He received his training at the Center for Creative Studies in Detroit, as well as the Haystack Craft School in Maine. He opened his studio at his home in 1987 and has been in operation since then.
He produces functional items with traditional off-hand Venetian techniques. His work includes bowls, vases, perfumes, ornaments and more.

(Remember, the letters in parentheses after George's name shows his code. When you see that code on work in The Gift Shop, you will know he created it.)
