Clay students have joined the Art Market

The ceramic classes here at Anton Art Center are very popular! Many students have become so accomplished that they now have their ceramic pieces in the Art Market. Let’s see some of that work right now! 

Julie Matuzak has a lot of fun with her glazes and use of texture.

Cheryl DeLauro is very imaginative with her designs. Cheryl is also an instructor here at Anton Art Center! She teaches "Art for Kids" and will soon teach a "Glass Block Mosaic" class.

 Jane Peterson (America, 1876–1965) "Women and Children in the Park" 1908. Oil, 18"× 24"  from the Nancy and Sean Cotton Collection.

Visions of American Life: Selections from the Nancy and Sean Cotton Collection, in partnership with the DIA. In person and online March 9 - April 12. Through these works, it is possible to see the evolution of the United States from a young republic to a modern nation with global ambitions in the twentieth century. 


Macomb County Annual Secondary Student Show, March 6 - April 13, 2021 presented by Extra Credit Union. This juried show will feature the artwork of Macomb County students grades 7 - 12. A virtual and on-site exhibition featuring 274 artworks by 191 students.

This exhibit will be available both in person in our gallery space with 97 artworks on display, and online with all 274 artworks displayed. A special thank you to the Macomb County art teachers and students, as well as our award sponsors, staff, volunteers, donors, and board members for making this event possible.

The student shows are highly anticipated each year. You will be inspired by what these young people can do!
