Lighthouses and Tulips

Looking around The Gift Shop I was struck by a couple of bright and recurring themes: lighthouses and tulips.
Lighthouses are iconic and nostalgic sights in Michigan. Patricia Petro (PETR) has created watercolor images of some well-known lighthouses. Here are three of her matted and framed original pieces.
"Fort Gratiot Lighthouse"

"Waugoshance Shoal Lighthouse"

"White Shoal Lighthouse"

Tulips will soon be blooming. Here at The Gift Shop they are in full-flower!
Mary Kelleher-Tassone (TASS) has painted and framed bright beautiful tulips on silk.

Helena Kuttler-Giasson (KUTT) has a series of hand painted flowers in her very distinctive style. Here is one with Dutch tulips.

(Remember, the letters in parentheses after each artist's name show their code. When you see that code on work in The Gift Shop, you will know who created it.)

Showing now at Anton Art Center:
Macomb County Secondary Student Art Show  March 10 - April 13. Featuring the artwork of Macomb County students, grades 7 - 12. Bringing together the works of students from around Macomb County, this is the 37th year for the show. You will be impressed by the works of our own very talented Macomb County young people.
